The Napa Police Historic Society (NPHS) was formed in 2006 as a non-profit organization whose mission is to preserve and display historic artifacts, honor present & former NPD employees, and educate the public about the unique history of the NPD. 

The NPHS has collected hundreds of vintage photographs and newspaper articles detailing the 130+ year history of the NPD, researched genealogical histories of many former employees, and has begun an oral history project. The NPHS recently installed a display of historic photos and artifacts in the lobby of the NPD.
