About Todd Shulman

Todd Shulman has worked in law enforcement his entire adult life; he began as a military police person in the US Army, serving during the First Gulf War. Later Shulman became a police officer in California; he currently works at the Napa Police Department. He has held positions within the police department as a detective, training officer, crime scene specialist, corporal, cold case investigator and Sargeant. Shulman formed the non-profit Napa Police Historical Society in 2006, and continues today as its President. Shulman has written three books, his most recent being “Murder & Mayhem in the Napa Valley”.

Chief of Police Steve Potter
Chief Potter has served the citizens of Napa for over 30 years, rising through the ranks to become Chief in 2015. He has been a constant supporter of the NPHS mission. 

Evangeline Tai
Evangeline serves as our Secretary. She brings several decades of experience in the museums field, and also serves as the NPD volunteer coordinator.

We conduct outreach within the community about Napa Police history including speaking at service club meetings, participating in local car shows and parades, and working collaboratively with the Napa County history community.

Mike Walund
Our Treasurer, Mike has over 20 years experience as a police officer, and currently serves as a sergeant in the NPD Patrol Division.
